Representative Don Hill: Legislative Work
Voters of the 60th District first elected Don to serve as their representative in the Kansas House of Representatives in 2002.  He currently serves on the Joint Health
Policy Oversight Committee in addition to his House committee assignments which
are Federal and State Affairs, Economic Development and Tourism, and Education. 
He also is Vice-Chairman of the House Aging and Long-term Care Committee.

Don co-chairs the Higher Education Caucus which is a bipartisan group of legislators from both the House and Senate who have a particular interest in higher
education issues.  A member of the Kansas Team participating in a Strengthening Rural Families Institute, Don and
theKansas delegation joined other leadership teams from the Midwest in an Institute to explore ways to advance
Rural Family Economic Success in September 2006.

Before his time in the Legislature, Don served eight years on the Kansas Highway Advisory Council – two years as
Chairman. He also served on the Governor’s Transportation 2000 Task Force and was a member of the Department
of Transportation's Economic Review Panel which considered the merits of system enhancement projects in the
Comprehensive Transportation Plan.
